Super Junior’s Donghae And Song Ha Yoon’s New Drama Introduces Its Colorful Cast Of Characters

by Amber Simmons

Genie TV’s upcoming drama “Oh! Young Shim” (literal title) has unveiled a group poster of its cast!

Based on the classic Korean cartoon “Young Shim,” “Oh! Young Shim” is a romantic comedy about the reunion between childhood friends Oh Young Shim (Song Ha Yoon) and Wang Kyung Tae (Super Junior’s Donghae), who unexpectedly run into each other again after 20 years.

Song Ha Yoon will star as the titular Oh Young Shim, a variety show producing director (PD) who has become notorious for all her programs getting cancelled early. When the opportunity to produce a new dating show comes her way, Oh Young Shim is determined to use it to redeem herself. However, things take an unexpected turn when the famous start-up CEO she casts for the show turns out to be her childhood friend Wang Kyung Tae, who has undergone a major glow-up since she last saw him.

Lee Min Jae will appear in the drama as Lee Chae Dong, a fellow variety show PD who has a major crush on Oh Young Shim, while Jung Woo Yeon will play Gu Wol Sook, a popular YouTuber who is childhood frenemies with Oh Young Shim—and who joins her dating show alongside Wang Kyung Tae.

Aside from the entangled love rectangle at the center of the story, the poster also introduces the members of Oh Young Shim’s family. The drama will feature Ga Young as Young Shim’s younger sister Soon Shim, Wang Ji Hye as her older sister Jin Shim, H.O.T.’s Tony Ahn as her brother-in-law Woo Sang, Song Young Jae as her father Dae Kwang, and Jo Yoo Ha as her niece Ji Yoo.
