South Korean actor No Young Kook died suddenly this morning after suffering from a heart attack.

His funeral will be private, and attended only by family, close friends and co-actors.

The 74-year-old actor (real name No Gil Young) had just begun appearing in the new KBS2 drama Live Your Own Life, which premiered last weekend, when it was announced by Korean news media earlier today that he had sadly died.

Previous to his co-starring role as chairman of Taesan Group Kang Jin Beom in Live Your Own Life, No Young Kook was known for his supporting roles in dramas like Sweet Stranger and Me, Enchanting Neighbor, Only Love, God of War and The Great King, Sejong.

With filming on Live Your Own Life not yet complete, the production team for the Korean drama has announced they will be meeting to decide how to continue with the plot going forward, while still honoring the memory of No Young Kook.

According to South Korean news media, No Young Kook’s funeral has been scheduled to take place on September 20th at Hanyang University Hospital.

We send our sincere condolences to his family.
