On May 10, tvN’s new drama Delightfully Deceitful (written by Han Woo Ju and directed by Lee Soo Hyun) released its third teaser.
The teaser commences with lawyer Han Moo Young (Kim Dong Wook) questioning Ro Um (Chun Woo Hee), “Now tell me, what kind of scam are you (Ro Um) doing?”, with stacks of money piled up in the room.
Anyone who sees Ro Um’s (Chun Woo Hee) perfect visuals, her relaxed smile that puts her opponent at ease, and her lies that capture her opponent’s heart will inevitably fall victim to her charms. She showcases her flair for scamming, setting the stage for an elaborate scam.
Ro Um, veteran hacker Jung Da Jung (Lee Yeon), versatile engineer Nasa (Yoo Hee Je), and language genius Ringo (Hong Seung Bum) all make appearances, and an ominous voice says, “They were prodigies, born in the slums”, piquing curiosity about the identity of “Jukmok Kid,” the group known for its exceptional talents within the scamming world.
As the scam unfolds, Ro Um is caught in the whirlwind of fate, and worried Jung Da Jung asks, “Are you really going to do this, Ro Um?”. The veteran scammer confidently asserts, “I’ll show you the difference between a lawyer and a scammer”.
She launches a full-fledged scam game where she makes sure to beat her opponent on the board she has created, rather than playing a game of chance where the outcome is unknown. The curiosity deepens as we wonder at whom Ro Um is aiming her arrow.
Delightfully Deceitful also stars Yoon Park as the probation officer Go Yo Han, and Park So Jin as psychiatrist Mo Jae In.
The K-drama will premiere on May 29. Further updates regarding the K-drama’s distribution on international OTT platforms are yet to come.
