BLACKPINK member Jennie has been confirmed to attend the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.
According to OSEN on May 11th, BLACKPINK Jennie will attend the official screening schedule of the Cannes Film Festival to be held in Cannes, France, at 10:30 p.m. local time on May 22nd.
Earlier, there was a lot of attention from fans both domestically and internationally on whether Jennie would walk the red carpet at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
In April, YG Entertainment officially announced, “Jennie has been invited to the Cannes International Film Festival, but her attendance is undecided.”
Jennie’s opportunity to appear on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, where movie fans from around the world gather, for her first acting debut, is expected to draw huge attention.
“The Idol”, Jennie’s first acting challenge, is a story about a famous pop star. It is scheduled to be broadcasted in six episodes and is set to be released in North America and Korea this year. At the 76th Cannes Film Festival, around two episodes will be screened in the non-competitive section.
