Actress Lee Yeon Hee’s on Her First Office Drama “Race”

by Amber Simmons

On the morning of the 8th, the production presentation of the Disney+ original series Race (directed by Lee Dong Yoon) was live-streamed online. The event was attended by actors Lee Yeon Hee, Hong Jong Hyun, Moon So Ri, Jung Yoon Ho, and director Lee Dong Yoon.

On that day, Lee Yeon Hee said, “This is my first office drama, and the script captured the struggles that my friends of the same age who are office workers are currently experiencing. When I saw my character Yoon Jo, I wanted to represent my friends in this modern era. I prepared by asking my friends a lot about their work life.”

She also revealed, “Yoon Jo is a character who enjoys work and seeks recognition from others. I tried to show the passion I have.” She added, “I searched for books about the personal lives of public relations professionals. I looked into what parts are challenging in reality. I realized it’s difficult to do something if you don’t enjoy it.”

Meanwhile, Race is a K-office drama where Park Yoon Jo, who enters a large corporation with no qualifications but sheer passion, gets caught up in a hiring scandal and struggles to survive in the diverse workplace. It will be released on May 10th.
